Elazzoa McArthur, Sr. is a native of Cumberland County and a product of Cumberland County Schools. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Social Science Education from Fayetteville State University, a Master’s of Science degree in Psychology and Counseling from Kingston College and a certification in Non-profit Management from Duke University.
He spent the first half of his professional career as a public educator. For the last 13 years, he has served the public in the corporate non-profit sector. Just last year he founded NME, Inc. a community based non-profit that focuses on health education and prevention, social justice, community engagement, financial literacy, and substance abuse disorder.
Mr. McArthur although he loves what he does, is a man of faith first and foremost. He is a family man. He cherishes his wife of twenty years, Nattlie McArthur; and his sons E. J. and Christopher. He lives by the mantra of; if you want to be successful you have to know from where you come, know who you are, and know where you want to go, all while putting God First! .
