KBDB3 and PHSSCA joined forces at Camp Carefree in Stokesdale, North Carolina to facilitate a Life Skills Simulation Transition-Workshop for adolescents to address their readiness skills and the challenges they may encounter as they transition into adulthood.

Iowa Training Workshop

Members of KBDB3 travel to Des Moines, Iowa to conduct a three-day workshop on Working Toward Cultural Responsiveness and Understanding Culture & Its Impact on Health Disparities.

Professional Development Training

Quality Comprehensive Health Center asked KBDB3 to come to Charlotte/Concord, N.C. to facilitate a two-day Professional Development Training Component for HRSA’s (Health Resources & Services Administration) Opioid Impacted Family Support Certification Program. This training is designed to enhance and expand Quality’s Peer Support Specialist’s and behavioral health-related paraprofessional’s knowledge, skills and expertise as it relates to individuals impacted by opioid use disorders and other substance use disorders.

Annual Positive Living 24 Conference

KBDB3 hosts the Annual Positive Living 24 Conference’s pre-conference screening event of the award winning film “Thicker Than Blood” that was co-produced by KBDB3. This event took place at the OASIS Island Resort in Fort Walton Beach, Florida.

Play Day in the Park

KBDB3, in partnership with the Buffalo Soldiers Motorcycle Club of Raleigh, N.C., That’s My Dj Live N.C., MJ Brothers Auto and Truck Repair and Food Lion hosted the Back to School PLAY Day Jam for families and children. The day was filled with health information, family competitions, games, fun activities, food, prizes and music. We also gave the kids backpacks and other needed supplies for the school year.
